Arranged in five groups: I. Vocal scores (35). II. Chorus parts (104). III. Orchestra parts (39). IV. Promptbooks (21 in 23 vols.). V. Dialogue parts (91). The vocal scores include two distinct editions by White-Smith (Boston) and two by Joseph Williams (London). Several copies are annotated as "stage manager's guides." The holograph chorus parts are contained in Tams folders, as are the manuscript orchestra parts. Promptbooks include eight handwritten copies and thirteen which are typescript. Inserted in one copy is a program from the Sept. 5, 1921 Nixon Theatre production, and the single leather-bound copy bears the gold stamp of W. T. Carleton. The 91 dialogue parts represent several sets, the majority of which are typescript, but one of which is manuscript. Several items in the collection bear the stamp of Robert Macaire.
